Thank you all for supporting our brands! We love 'em and wouldn't change a thing.
Dear Dixie Lily,
I have had to mail order grits from other sources to get stone ground grits. The shipping fee makes the price so steep I have had to consider grits one of my luxuries...now gas prices are cutting out most of my luxuries...and Dixie Lily Yellow Stone Ground Grits, being one of my comfort foods, is sorely missed.
I discovered your yellow stone ground grits when I moved to Florida. I grew up in Mississippi, and had never seen yellow grits, nor ever tasted stone ground grits. One bag of them and I was hooked. I LOVE your yellow stone ground grits. I refuse to buy any quick grits (my sister was so surprised, "you don't buy Jim Dandy grits we grew up eating anymore?!") I explained to her that once she tried these she would never be satisfied with any other again. But she lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma....I don't know if there are enough people there that will buy grits...
I am thankful that God's grace has pulled you thru the tough times you have been struggling thru. I continue to keep you in my prayers. Please try to get your grits back into the Food Lion stores here in Jacksonville, FL.
May God bless you abundantly,
Sincerely,
Debi

I was so excited to find out that you do not use Gentically Modified Corn. That puts your products right at the top of my grocery list every week. Thank you for providing such a great product.

We enjoy grits for breakfast at least twice a week. We recently received a package of Dixie Lily Stone Ground White Pearl Hominy Grits as a gift from relatives in georgia.
Now we are spoiled. All other brands of grits are now simply "less-valued" and poor substitutes. Dixie Lily brand is the best brand of grits we have ever ... EVER ... tasted ... bar none.

I just wanted you to know that I received my case of Dixie Lily cornmeal mix two days after I ordered it. It was in my car to distribute to my friends but most of my Sunday School class wanted it when they heard that I have ordered it . Some of the church -goers were curious to see what I was passing out in the church parking lot. Thanks to you we were all able to make our dressing and our cornbread to go with our black-eyed peas on New Years. I appreciate your help! We love our Dixie Lily.

We have a Perkerson's recipe book from 1963 my Daddy used to find his "secret" recipe for cornbread. He had become disabled and it was his pleasure to perfect his cornbread making skills. It is a wonderful memory for my family. We had been dismayed to not be able to find this corn meal lately and were misspelling the name on a google search until Mother found the recipe book.
We are in Powder Springs, GA and are looking for a store location that still carries the corn meal. It seems everyone I spoke to thought the corn meal was discontinued. I will set them straight!
I am also delighted to see all of the products you carry and try more of them

I wanted to let you know that I am a loyal Dixie Lilly user. You see even though I grew up in upstate NY, my mom was raised in Jacksonville FL, so we always had Dixie Lily in the house even if it meant bring a year’s supply home every summer when we went to visit relatives.
To this day I have to either go to Florida to get my Dixie Lily or have someone ship it to me, after all how can I make southern cornbread dressing without great cornbread and how can I make great cornbread without Dixie Lily?
I just wanted to let you know that you have a fan in upstate NY. Please never change a thing it would ruin everything.

Please add your Spanish Bean Soup Mix to the product catalog online. There are about 5 or 6 of my family members here in Sharpsburg that want it. It's winter and that means Dixie Lily Spanish bean soup season!!!! :)

I have recently moved from Georgia to Oklahoma. I have looked everywhere for your Perkerson's Whole Ground Self-Rising White Cornmeal to no avail. I go home from time to time and have to get a case or two to bring back with me as I have relatives here and they have also fallen in love with this distinctive and wonderful cornmeal.

I love the Dixie Lily White Cream Meal. I grew up eating fried cornbread made with this meal mixed with boiling water, and my children have also grown up with it. No other meal I have tried has the same consistency or texture.

After years of using another brand of fine grind we discovered Adams enriched white water ground corn meal in the Mobile, ala. area. We really like it, maybe MORE than the other brand!

Dixie Lily brand is the best!

I grew up on southern corn bread made with only Dixie Lily self rising corn meal. My parents were from Tenn and Ala. I will not buy corn meal mix or other brands. My mother said there was no other good corn meal. Thanks for your recipes. In my corn bread, we only use self-rising corn meal, egg and buttermilk.

Growing up in the 50's and 60's, I was good friends with a family in Chipley, Fl who ran a Dixie Lily mill. I have been enjoying your Dixie Lily products for 51 years now.

I was born and raised in Ga. and had fried corn bread every day of my life. I have been in South East Texas for the past 30 yrs. I have to have family or friends send me my corn meal. When living in Ga. I used white, fine, sifted stone ground. I am now getting med, white stone ground when possible. Sometimes I get other brands because I have to take what they send me. At our local markets we have only one brand of meal that says it is stone ground, but it comes no where close. It’s gotta be Dixie Lily!!

Thank you for the great Alabama King cornmeal that’s made for some great family dinners!

I wanted to buy stone ground grits on a recent "tour of the South", but didn't find them in the expected location. But I bought the book "Good Grits" from the Pensacola newspaper and found out about Dixie Lily grits. I am looking forward to cooking with and eating them.

We recently visited relatives in Greenville, AL and bought a few bags of Adams (sifted, fine) Water Ground style Corn Meal. We live in Baton Rouge, LA. Is there any place our direction that sells the corn meal or what is the easiest way to get some? We love it!

I live in a rural area south of Charleston, SC... have backyard fish frys frequently and have used Eelbeck hushpuppy mix for about 15 years... All that attend the fish frys always brag about how good the hushpuppies taste. The other brands just don't taste like the Eelbeck.

I grew up in Tampa Florida where my mom made Dixie Lily Spanish Bean Soup mix as a nice change of pace for our normal down home southern diet. I am 52 years old and my mom passed away several years ago. However, I still periodically fix spanish bean soup for my wife and two boys. I love the completeness of the spice packet and the beans rarely contain any 'additional' items such as little pebbles. I would greatly appreciate it if you never stop production of this specific item.

I am trying to find a store that stocks your yellow grits here in Tampa. Publix did stock them up until last fall, and since then I have not been able to find them anywhere. They are the only grits we like. Can't wait til Publix has them again. Thanks,

I sent my husband to the grocery store for grits before the children/grandchildren came home for Christmas. We all love Dixie Lily grits for breakfast with sausage gravy and our once a year treat of fried chicken Christmas morning. He wasn't able to find it at three different stores. I could hardly believe it, so when my daughter in Atlanta contacted me to bring her some when I visited because she couldn't find it, I couldn't find it either. I've eaten Dixie Lily quick grits all my life and no other grits will do! I discovered your web site and am so glad to find out you haven't gone out of business. Look forward to buying grits in our stores in the near future!

I am writing because I cannot find my Perkerson's Self-Rising Corn Meal. Kroger,

Just want you to know how disappointed I am that, as a Publix shopper, I can't find the brand of grits I have eaten all my life on their store's shelves.
It's all Quaker Oats products, and their grits taste weird...more like Cream of Wheat.
I hope that in the future I'll be able to find Dixie Lily grits once more.
I've also tried Winn-Dixie stores; they don't have your grits, either!

I have used Perkerson's or Pine Mountain corn meal all my cooking life and now am having trouble finding it in Marietta, GA. I had no idea these were made by the same company, you guys are doing it right!

I have used Dixie Lily products since the early 1970s,including Dixie Lily grits and Alabama King corn meal.
Your stone-ground grits are by far the best available in the supermarket.
It's hard to go into my local supermarket (Publix) and find the shelves empty of Dixie Lily products.
I hope you resolve your distribution problems soon! (I live in the Orlando area).

Is it possible to order your Dixie Lily Yellow Rice? We currently live in Georgia, having moved here from Florida. I always used your product there, but haven't been able to purchase it here. We have friends who regularly visit Florida and bring us our Yellow Rice, but during their most recent trip, they weren't able to find ANY! We were so disappointed! Sorry to see on your website that the company is experiencing difficulty and sincerely hope things will be worked-out soon.

Your yellow rice is the only rice worth buying.
Glad to see you are still in business. Can you tell us when to expect it back at Publix?

I always was told that Texas is Southern. Well, not where grits is concerned. Imagine my shock at being able to find Dixie Lily Grits in South Florida (transplanted Yankee-land) and not in Houston. As soon as we get settled in our new place, I'll be ordering.
Your product simply has spoiled me for anything else.

Dixie Lily flour, meal, beans, and rice makes the best recipes. This was always the brand that my Mom sent me, as a kid to the store to buy and the brand that I have depended on over my 50+ years of marriage and cooking for my family. Hurry the products back to the food stores of Florida!

I live in Casselberry, FL. I haven't been able to get Alabama King Corn Meal due to the problems. It is the only corn meal my Mom used and the only one I will use. We even use to mail it to my aunt in North Carolina (not sure if she really couldn't find it or was just too cheap to buy it. HA!).
Will it be available again soon here or can I buy it directly? I think I got the last two bags in Florida a while ago.
Please help! I am having withdrawals!

My family is a big fan of Dixie Lily White Cream meal. We thought the stores in the Orlando area (Publix, Winn Dixie) had just quit carrying it. White cream meal makes the best fried cornbread in the world and it is not possible to replace it with another brand.
A Devoted Customer,

I can no longer find Pine Mountain Self Rising cornmeal at our stores in the Tucker, GA area. Publix and Kroger sold their last bag over a month ago. I don't remember Ingles ever carrying it. Are there any stores in our area now carrying your products?
I've got to have Pine Mountain, nothing else will work.

My family and I have always used Dixie Lily Spanish Bean Soup Dinner Mix and Yellow Rice Dinner. Recently, we have been unable to find these products at our local grocery store. Dear Dixie Lily; Since our supplier in a Publix in Florida no longer carries your products, I hope I might order directly. Possible? Or let us know where we can buy Dixie Lily in the Bradenton, Florida area where we are wintering.
Dixie Lily yellow ground grits; pinto beans and black-eyed peas are the only brand we will use.

Say it ain't so!
I stopped to get me another bag of Dixie Lilly grits and the store manager said that the product was no longer available.
I tell ya, I nearly teared up. I was raised on them stone ground grits and I just can't imagine living in a South without them. Please, I just need a little reassurance....when and where can I get my grits. I just had to have breakfast this morning with grits from another brand and it ain't the same; I hate change. It's kinda like getting used to using Charmin and then trying to wipe with a corn cob. I tell ya, it just ain't worth getting used to!

It's safe to say, until your products return to market, I won't have REAL CORNBREAD. There is no substitute for your meals.
Can't wait!

After using this corn meal for about 60 years, my Mom is very upset that we can't seem to locate it anywhere.

Even though Winn-Dixie is listed as a store carrying Dixie Lily, I have been unable to locate 5lb. bags of yellow self-rising cornmeal in stores in Central Florida.
Is this product still available--I need 25 lbs. for a scholarship fishfry at the end of April and don't really want to make that much self-rising cornmeal!!!

THIS MORNING I ASKED MY LOCAL PUBLIX IF THEY STILL CARRIED YOUR BRAND OF GRITS. THEY ADVISED THAT THEY DID NOT AND THAT THEIR DISTRIBUTOR SAID THAT THEY NO LONGER CARRIED YOUR PRODUCT AS WELL. MY QUESTION IS, WHERE CAN I PURCHASE YOUR GRITS AND HUSH PUPPY MIX. I HAVE EATEN THESE PRODUCTS MY ENTIRE LIFE. NOTHING AGAINST THE OTHER GRITS MANUFACTURERS, BUT I DON'T LIKE THEM VERY MUCH. I USE THEM AS A VERY LAST RESORT.
THEY'RE JUST NOT DIXIE LILY.

I have used your Dixie Lily Hush Puppy Mix (in the red bag) for many, many years. Now, all of a sudden, I cannot find this product. Please advise, do you still make this? If so, do you know where I can find it in Jacksonville, Florida's west or northwest side.
It has to be Dixie Lily

Hi I live in Florida how much longer before we see Dixie Lily back on the shelfs?
Us southeners can't live without you.

I am so sorry to hear your Company is having trouble. I wish for you all the best. I guess this explains why my family and friends have not been able to find Blackwell's grits in Hartsville,Darlington or Florence SC at Bi-Lo, Harris Teeter or IGA in the last few months. When my nephews and niece came home fro Thanksgiving and Christmas they were very disappointed to find out we were NOT having Blackwell's grits for breakfast those mornings. It is a tradition for us..of course the rest of us eat it regularly.
Much to my surprise this morning, I found a fourth of a bag of grits at the back of my refrigerator! I immediately cooked them, and they were ohhh so delicious!! I also saw the website address, thus here I am. Your note sounded like "you will be back," and hopefully we will begin seeing your products back in our local stores, is this correct?
Again I am very sorry for the trouble you have been experiencing. Please let me know if your products won't be available in the locol grocery stores, and if it can be ordered.

We have been trying to locate your Self Rising Corn Meal for some time. Has the distributor started stocking shelves at Puiblix, Sweat Bay, Etc. in the Tampa, Fl. area? There is no substitute for yopur product that is acceptable to us.
